pdfConvertTools is a small, independent project created for one clear reason: almost every “free” online PDF tool requires you to upload your files to someone else’s server — often with vague or questionable privacy practices.
We decided to build the opposite: a collection of everyday PDF utilities that run **entirely in your browser** using modern JavaScript (mainly PDF-Lib). Your contracts, invoices, medical records, legal documents, academic papers or personal files never leave your device.

Why Client-Side Matters
Most online PDF services are “free” only because your files become their data. They may store them temporarily (or longer), scan for keywords, feed them into AI training sets, or sell anonymized usage statistics — even when they claim otherwise.
pdfConvertTools removes that middleman completely. Everything happens on your computer or phone. No server ever sees your content or any passwords/signatures you create.
